Introduction
Beer Camp was created from the simplest and purest idea - combining everything I enjoyed, with everything I valued.
Ever since I was a child, I lived for camping and exploring. It wouldn't matter whether I was playing cards in a caravan with my grandparents or stepping out into woodland on my own for the first time... the experiences are what matters and what will stay with me for the rest of my life.
As I grew, new experiences presented themselves to me. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel the world and developed a varied palate that has helped me to become a half-decent cook in the process. On these travels, I spent some time in Malawi - this is where the wheels were originally set in motion for Beer Camp. There is a campsite along the route to Livingstonia called Lukwe, where the owners have harnessed the power of the natural resources on offer around them to create a truly magical camping experience... here was my blueprint!
Seeing the world and the wonders it beholds made me realise how important it was to protect them. At Beer Camp, not only do we brew all of our beer on site, we also grow a significant proportion of the food that we serve at our on-site organic farm, with the rest being locally sourced. We are also proud to be carbon neutral in all our operations.
